their gorgeous projects are sure to inspire you!

Terri
Terri used the inspiration picture to create a piece of home decor which she plans to hang in her lounge. She used butterfly pieridae, peony and bud and a sentiment from butterfly emerges. She decided to keep to a brown and beige pallet to match her room decor.

Kim
Kim was inspired by the yellow flower and delicate butterfly, her mixed media project was painted onto an ornate frame substrate, she combined two hairstyles, head & torso templates, with the female face to create her portrait. The Whimsical woodland set really helped to create the texture and patterns on her hair and clothes. Stamped a few flowers and finished off with dimensional vellum butterflies.

She stamped little flowers cascading down her card and stamped a little squirrel and sentiment, the reverse of the envelope was embellished with flowers and leaves. The tag has a cute little owl sat in a branch surrounded by pretty flowers.

Mandy
Mandy used Paperbabe stamps female face mini stamps & long loose wave template for the main image. She always uses Faber Castel Pencils as they are definitely her favourites.

Kim
Kim used the Wavy Central Parting portrait kit to create her floral piece, all the fibreboard pieces were painted using the gelli plate, her face stamped and coloured with pencils and her peony necklace was created using shrink plastic.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #52 ~ Sketch

Good morning, thanks for popping by for our next challenge.
This Fortnight is a sketch challenge...

Use the sketch in any creative way that you want, flip it, turn it, be inspired by it. The flowers can represent any image and "paperbabe stamps" any sentiment.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenges are open to everyone...
As usual you are welcome to combine with other challenges too.

Please be sure to link your project below for a chance to win Paperbabe Stamps Gift worth up to £20*.

Now onto the team's fabulous interpretation...

Terri

Terri decided to use the layout inspiration but change things up a little, she created her card by stencilling a background using the mixed media roses stencil, the herringbone pattern was added and a sentiment stamped on to a banner using the Birthday wishes stamp set. A little MDF rose was added and a few sequins sprinkled to add extra interest to the card.

Delphine used her Whimsical Woodland stamp sets (set 3 for the hedgehog and sentiment and set 4 for the bird and mushroom) to create a scene in which she drew a few elements too. She coloured everything in Copics using the no-line technique. She added a log under the hedgehog for the horizontal line of the sketch and the mushroom for the flower.

Kim
Kim has wanted to try duralar for some time and thought a bottle would be the perfect image to give this material a go. She used Bottle of stamp set for the bottle which (loosely)represents the rectangle on the sketch and the sentiment on the tag, the rose is from the sugar skull mini set, and the butterfly also stamped onto duralar is given a dimensional effect.

their gorgeous projects are sure to inspire you!

Terri
Terri used the colours in the inspiration picture to create her card,  She added distress ink to a piece of card in a diagonal pattern. She then added white ink through one of the polka-dot stencils and then flicked water on the card to distress it.  She added a fussy cut flower using the Peony-bud-stamp-set and finished the card with a whimsical word which was coloured black.

Mandy
Mandy created something different for a change, got her coloured pencils out & the gorgeous mini face templates & stamps, so much fun playing with these, they make it so easy to create fun pieces of work.

Check out the wonderful team projects... wow

Kim
Kim embraced her love of steampunk and created this angel punk fairy using the Flick & Fringe kit, with the substrate fairy wings coated in cogs and cosmic embossing... along with the female face stamp and a few rose tattoos, plus gold polka dots to finish off the metallic look.

Terri
Terri used the Male face stamp set along with the Mens portrait mixed media templates to create her project. I am fairly new to portrait work and am working on improving my skills so I decided to keep this project simple, using pencils and grey ink.

Delphine
Delphine used a big MDF circle from the Mixed Media Blanks Hanging Circles Set to create her portrait. She used the Mini Head and Torso Templates, the Blunt Bangs Long Portrait Template for the hair and she traced the shapes in pencil. She coloured skin in acrylic paint then stamped the face features, using the Mini Female Face Stamp Set. She painted everything in acrylics and added Polychromos for shading. To create the dotted background, she applied white ink on the biggest stencil from the Polka Dots Stencil Set

Mandy(special guest)
Mandy has been having a bit of fun with the gorgeous 'Doll Face' stamp set and templates available on Paperbabes Etsy Shop, I love them & will definitely use these more in the future.

Now lets see the team's interpretation...
their gorgeous projects are sure to inspire you!

To create my card I used the Mini sugar skull stamp set and the "Go where your dreams take you" stamp. I took inspiration from both the flowers and colours and loved being able to use the Sugar Skull stamps for a feminine design.

Delphine
Delphine used Mayleedee (as red rubber, but she's also available as clear stamp and digi) and added a few flowers to create a scene. She watercoloured her image using Zig Clean Color Real Brush and added a few details in Polychromos.

Kim
Kim had fun creating her dimensional portrait using the wavy central parting media blank and added it to an ornate frame. She was inspired by both the colour palette and the daisy flowers. She used the female face mini stamp set, and the polka dot stencil.
